2024 Concordia Golf Classic: Fundraising on Fairways
Blessed with more than beautiful weather, Concordia held our 20th Annual Golf Classic on July 15 and were surrounded by support from our many sponsors and friends.
Hosted at the Treesdale Golf & Country Club, almost 200 golfers participated in a scramble-style tournament. Combined with a basket drawing featuring 36 phenomenal baskets, a 50-50 drawing and six silent auctions, preliminary reports show the event raised over $140,000.
The proceeds from this event support one of the most important and historic pieces of Concordia’s mission, the Good Samaritan Endowment Fund. The fund underwrites confidential charitable care for residents and patients who have limited or exhausted financial means.
This year, the first-place team of Nick Suder, Josh Phillips, Mason Phillips and Gavin Phillips, posted an impressive -17. A tightly contested round, the second-place group of Mark O’Hern, Jeff Porter, Joseph Vermilya and Dr. Koti Knodaveeti, finished -16, and the third-placed group of Nick Fragello, Dean Martik, Trace Martik and Dan Manius finished -15.
Once again, SEI Investments served as Signature Sponsor for the event, and Kevin Matthews, Jeff Rouche and Astrid Rau from SEI attended as guests of honor. We at Concordia offer a special thank you to SEI for their continuous and generous support and to all of our sponsors, including:
